At Homestead Lane, we offer comprehensive midwifery care designed to support families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with intention, respect, and individualized attention.

Prenatal Care

Prenatal visits are primarily held in your home On Wednesdays 10am-5pm (10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm), and are unhurried, relationship-centered, and rooted in evidence-based care. These visits are booked for 45 minutes-1 hour, and focus not only on physical health, but mind, body, spirit, and soul, and also on education, preparation, and building trust as we walk together throughout your pregnancy.​

• ​Pregnancy symptoms/physical health questions and discussion

• Nutrition counseling

• Blood pressure

• Temperature

• ​Mental and emotional health

• Routine labs

• Measuring fundal height (starting 20 weeks)

• Listen to baby heartbeat with doppler (starting 11-12 weeks)

36-Week Home Visit
Around 36 weeks, we schedule a dedicated home visit to prepare for your upcoming birth. This appointment allows us to review your birth space, discuss logistics, answer questions, meet anyone you plan to have at your birth, ensure you feel confident and ready as you approach labor and complete the normal prenatal visit.

Home Birth
We specialize in planned home birth for low-risk pregnancies, providing continuous support in the comfort of your own home. Our care honors the natural process of birth while prioritizing safety, informed decision-making, and calm, attentive presence.

​Water Birth
Water birth is offered as an option for Labor and/or birth. Many families find laboring or birthing in water to be soothing, empowering, and supportive of a gentle transition for baby. Water therapy can help with the intensity of contractions and help the vaginal tissues to stretch, reducing tearing and need for repair. 

​

VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean)
We support VBAC for appropriate candidates. Our approach includes thorough counseling, individualized risk assessment, and respectful support for families seeking a vaginal birth after a previous cesarean.

Postpartum Care
Care continues well beyond birth, with postpartum visits focused on recovery, newborn care, feeding support, and emotional well-being. We remain present during this important transition, ensuring families feel supported as they settle into life with their new baby for 6 weeks. You will have 3 scheduled appointments

Ultrasounds

At Homestead Lane, we ask for only 1 "required" ultrasound being the 20 week anatomy scan. Other ultrasounds may be asked upon different findings. 

Jeff Moody at Moody Diagnostics will be present at a local office on specific days to perform ultrasounds. I will help you to schedule those along with his office. He can provide early/dating ultrasound, 20 week anatomy scan, follow up, BPP. (no 3D or 4D)

Breastfeeding and Lactation Support

At Homestead Lane, we believe breastfeeding is a learned relationship and no mother should have to navigate it alone. We offer knowledgeable, hands-on support rooted in experience, patience, and respect for each family’s goals, whether that means exclusive breastfeeding, combination feeding, or gentle troubleshooting along the way. From the first latch to overcoming common challenges, we support mothers with practical guidance, encouragement, and evidence-based care, all while honoring the unique needs of both mother and baby. Our heart is to help families feel confident, supported, and empowered during this tender season of nourishment and bonding. We also have a relationship with Kristine Keller IBCLC and many Pediatric Dentists for anything out of our scope or oral restrictions.
